Senior citizens, women above 45,and pregnant women can now book up to 4 lower berths in sleeper class

Passengers used to complain that if senior citizens husband and wife wanted to book 2 lower berths, they were denied as they were travelling together.
With the new rule,if up to 4 persons make a single booking and all were senior citizens or women above 45 or pregnant,any of these combination, then each would get lower berth in sleeper class.

Police services by e-suvidha,eg tenant and servant verification....

Now you don't have to go to a police station for citizen services,eg.,mobile phone,passport,cheque book related complaints,verification of tenant,servant etc.
State's information dept. is closely working with UP police to roll out citizen services through e-suvidha centers.This facility would be available in all the 17 districts where centers have been set up.
  Expected to be running by end of this month,this facility will give Lucknowites option of getting tenant verification, domestic servant verification and character certificate, checking FIR status and submitting lost article complaint at the centers run by IT dept.A feeof Rs20 will be charged for each service so that centers remain self sustaining.10,000 to 15,000 people visit e-Suvidha centers on a daily basis in the city to pay utility bills.
 " Already 10 centers have been equipped to give out police related services.We are hopeful of linking all 56 centers in city with police servers",says Mohan Thakur UP state coordinator of e-Suvidha services.
For verification services,completed forms would have to be submitted along with photo of tenant or servant.A receipt with reference number will be given."Records would be sent to the police station concerned for further action,saving one from visiting police station"-says ADG Vishwakarma.
      Citizen services are expected to be linked within a fortnight and additional options would be available in months to come.Complainant will have option to view status of FIR.

Platform ticket booking to go online

Now Platform ticket booking will go online.
Railway minister announced that the booking of platform tickets can now be done online.It will first be started in Delhi and Mumbai.

Now there will be cleaning in train by message or email

Now you can have cleaning in moving train by message or email.
Eastern Railways has made a website cleanmycoach.com
By messaging or emailing on this site you can ask for cleaning of coach or lodge a complaint about dirty bedsheets.
Passengers will have to message on helpline number 58888.
You will have to write 'clean' in message and send your PNR number.
Then you will be given a password.
An alert will be sent to cleaning agency.
A worker will reach the complainant.
After cleaning,he will take password from passenger and send it to control room.
If any worker does not arrive to clean coach alert will be sent to senior members.
Then it will be the responsibility of senior DME to have the coach cleaned and take action.

Flights to run from South Korea to Lucknow from December
