Varanasi regains top spot for being cleanest Ganga town

Varanasi earned the highest score of 76.5 points in the survey followed closely by Prayagraj. Haridwar, the top ranking city from the previous year secured the fourth position. 

Icy winds shiver Up, city sees coldest night of winter

Dense fog and icy winds including Lucknow recorded coldest night of this winter on Thursday. Fog may continue for few weeks,particularly in Eastern and central UP. Northern hill regions will continue to have icy winds.
